Wendy Mencel

Wendy is a therapist intern offering counselling services both in-person at our Community Counselling Exeter location and through video sessions. Wendy can provide counselling around a mutually agreed upon time.

Wendy believes that all people have inherent dignity and worth. Our problems do not define us but rather inform us.  With support and self-reflection, it is possible to overcome the challenges that affect our lives.  She hopes to help guide the thought process and conversation to enable each individual to feel a sense of wholeness and happiness in their lives. She provides a judgment free zone by which each individual can process their challenges. She is very open and caring in her approach.

Wendy is a Christian minister in the Anglican Church. She has been in ministry for 22 years and has met with many people who have faced great life challenges. She has provided multi-faith spiritual care in hospital settings. Her therapeutic approach is inspired by a variety of psychospiritual modalities.

In her spare time, she likes to garden and spend time with family.
