About Us

At Community Counselling London, we believe that everyone deserves a chance to heal, grow,

and find hope—no matter their circumstances.

Founded in 2019 by Alida van Dijk and Patricia Berendsen—two seasoned educators and therapists driven to make a difference—Community Counselling London was born to tackle a growing gap in mental health care.

Too many people struggle to find affordable, timely support through our healthcare system or private options. We believe real change, for individuals and our communities, starts with access to care for everyone, no matter their income.

We’re here to help. Whether you’re facing emotional distress, addiction, trauma, or life’s big transitions, we offer a safe space where compassion meets expert care. Fees flex with your situation—based on income and dependents—so everyone, even those unhoused or on government support, can get affordable care.

What makes us unique? We pair subsidized psychospiritual therapy—blending mind and spirit—with hands-on training for graduate-level interns. It’s a win-win: clients heal, and future caregivers learn, creating a ripple effect across London and beyond.

As an accredited teaching centre with the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care / Association canadienne de soins spirituels (CASC/ACSS), we’re proud to support both our clients and the next

generation of therapists.

Our vision is bold yet simple: to be a lifeline for London’s most vulnerable,

sparking hope where it’s needed most.

With your donations and support, we can keep breaking down barriers

and building healthier lives together.
